Blonde beauty Helen George has been labelled this year’s ‘Strictly b****’ because of her ‘superior attitude.’ The Call the Midwife star Helen George, who split from her husband of nearly three years before the show, is said to only talk to her dance partner, Aljaz Skorjanec, and shun the other celebrities. It is a far cry from the sweet persona the 31-year-old actress shows on screen.
A source scathingly told The Sun: “She’s a prima donna, but she’s very sweet when the cameras are on.” Helen’s marriage split was the subject of rumours before the latest BBC series had started. Helen wed Oliver Boot, also an actor, in December 2012. The pair had met on the set of BBC drama Hotel Babylon.
Her spokesman said: “I can confirm that Helen separated from her husband some time ago.” Boot attended the TV Baftas with George in April, the same day she completed the London marathon. She is currently filming the new series of Call the Midwife, due to start in January.
In the plot Trixie’s planned marriage to the local vicar was called off after she questioned whether she would make him a good wife. She has told previously of how helpful he was as she struggled to learn how to look convincing as a midwife.
