BREAKING: Emergency lockdown as LIONS escape from zoo


2 lions are roaming free after escaping their cage sparking an emergency lockdown at the zoo, it has been reported.

Visitors have been evacuated from the zoo in Germany.

Zoo Leipzig Staff are hunting the predators in an attempt to catch them.

The predators, known as Majo and Motshegetsi, are new additions to the zoo in Germany.

A spokeswoman for the zoo told local newsource “I can confirm that there was an incident today morning.

“The two lions have left yet unknown way their enclosure.

“The zoo has therefore been closed for the time being.”
