Several people have been wounded after an “electrical fault” sparked “terror and panic” at an east London train station.
Panicked passangers were forced on to the tracks at Dalston Kingsland station after a plug socket exploded, according to reports.
One passenger spoke of “sheer terror and panic” on board the train in Hackney, east London, during rush hour this morning.
Cops and emergency services were scambled to the scene to reports of “several walking wounded”.
Aaron Webb wrote: “Highest praise to @metpoliceuk & @LondonFire this morning for rapid response to incident at Dalston Kingsland. Sheer terror & panic onboard.”
“I scrambled up the bank. People were getting crushed. It was a terrifying experience but glad all is ok.”
