Calum Best has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. A 20 year-old-girl is said to have run from a Manchester hotel room, half-dressed, and called cops, telling officers she was assaulted by Best, 34, in the early hours of the morning. CBB star Best, who is the son of late Man United icon George, was quizzed by police and later freed on bail.A source told The Sun on Sunday: “She was hysterical. She ran out of the hotel. She claims Calum sexually assaulted her. Best was on a night out in Manchester with a group of friends, both men and women, including Ex On The Beach star Ashley Cain. Hours after the alleged attack Cain tweeted: “Misunderstood.”
Police were called at 3.30AM on October 14 and Best was arrested at the scene. Best, whose reality TV accolades include Celebrity Love Island, Come Dine With Me and CBB, was released the same day.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed they were called to the Innside Hotel “following reports that a 20-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted”. They added: “Officers arrested a 34-year-old man. He has been bailed until November pending further enquiries.”
