The UK will get 10 days of sunshine, blue skies and 60F-plus temperatures after spring finally arrived at the weekend.
And things are looking up for Easter with temperatures to nudge 66F (19C) over the bank holiday.
Forecasters have promised calm and settled weather for much of the remainder of this month.
Unusually, the North is in for the highest temperatures over the next fortnight while the South and East will feel cooler.
Much of the country will enjoy the first lengthy break from snow, wind and storms since before the start of winter.
The change is down to high pressure holding wind and rain at bay.
Although clear skies by day will keep mercury higher than of late, nights will be cold and frosty.
Forecasters have not ruled out the odd shower in parts this week.
