Police are investigating a suspected murder-suicide after a wealthy businessman and his wife were found dead inside their £900,000 farmhouse. Officers discovered the bodies of Michael Beck, 63, and his wife Nicola, 52, after relatives raised concerns for their welfare.
The deaths are being treated as a domestic-related murder and suicide. They lived in the five-bedroom farmhouse in Dunkeswell, Devon, and also owned homes in London and Bristol. Their bodies were found in the property at 11.40pm on Wednesday – the day before Nicola’s 53rd birthday.
Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that no one else was present at the house at the time of the incident and said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths but have refused to say how the couple – who neighbours said “kept themselves to themselves” – died.
