Major London rail station in chaos after roof is blown onto tracks

Storm Imogen has blown off part of the roof at London Bridge onto the trainline reducing the number of trains able to run.

Certain train services have been cancelled due to strong winds from London Bridge station.

There are reports that the winds have caused debris on the line so some services have been cancelled or delayed.

The South Eastern Train Service website has said: “With Storm Imogen affecting large parts of Southern England. Network Rail have imposed speed restrictions on a number of routes as a safety precaution.”

National Rail has tweeted that there are delays of 30 minutes, which is likely to continue until 5pm.

Thameslink has cancelled its service from London Bridge to Brighton this evening.
