Pensioner stopped by police after driving his mobility scooter on the M60

A man was pulled over by police for driving his mobility scooter on the M60 motorway.

The pensioner was spotted by baffled motorists on Sunday morning.

He was first snapped at the lights by Trafford Retail Park just after 11.30am.

With the Chill Factore clearly visible in the distance, the elderly man then made his way up the slip road at Junction 10, heading towards Barton Bridge.

But he was stopped by officers before he could get that far following several calls to police from passers-by who were concerned for his safety.
