A MAN has died after a car was struck by a train on a level crossing near Frampton Mansell in Gloucestershire.
Police said the tragedy occurred at around 3pm this afternoon.
Passengers on the train said a Land Rover had been hit, with photographs posted to social media showing a crumpled vehicle at the front of the train.
Emergency services rushed to the scene but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car was struck by the Great Western Railway’s London Paddington to Cheltenham Spa service.
Investigators said: “At present, officers are currently examining the scene to establish the circumstances which led to the man’s car being struck.
