One of the eighteen women who was escorted off a flight at East Midlands Airport for wearing an offensive T-shirt has spoken about the incident.
The hen party arrived at East Midlands Airport this morning to catch their flight to Majorca where for four-day holiday.
They were wearing T-shirts with the words “bitches on tour” printed on the back and were told by staff to “either wear different attire or cover up the offensive language”.
The women then proceeded through security and onto their flight bound for Palma when their holiday came to an abrupt halt.
One member of the hen party was Lauren Clarke, 36, from Neville Holt, in Leicestershire, and she has described the moments which followed once they had taken their seats on the aircraft.
The mum-of-three said: “We sat in our seats and some of the group took their jackets off, the writing is on the back so we didn’t think it would be a problem whilst we were sitting down.
